We are still in hospital. Vega has not had a temperature since Thursday, but she remains on IV antibiotics until we have all the blood cultures and swaps back. Her neutrophils have also dropped so they are keeping an eye on it. The verdict was a major headache due to lumbar puncture and a fever because of a cold. Vega was pretty much fine when she woke up on Thursday morning and I too felt much better. Now we just have to wait to be discharged. Vega is entertaining me with “chemo” jokes. She named herself Captain Chemo tonight and has been giggling about her knock knock creations.
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Chemo.
Chemo who?
Chemo creamcake.
It is all rainbows and bumble bees.
She’s such a trooper (like Mummy). And always the cheeky clown. Hope you’re both back home soon.
